During the snap elections of December 9, several hotlines will work to record violations of rights of both journalists and citizens.

Journalists may apply to the Committee To Protect Freedom Of Expression (CPFE) in cases where they encounter obstacles during their professional activities.

The CPFE hotline numbers are 011 53 38 95, 093 10 70 85, 094 59 30 20. You can also write an email to [email protected] or to the CPFE Facebook page.

A working group set up at the Human Rights Defender’s office throughout the campaign period and on election day, are monitoring media reports daily on alleged violations of electoral rights.

At the same time it will ensure the proper discussion of verbal and written complaints addressed to the Ombudsman, including hotline alerts.

The Ombudsman’s office hotline number is 116.

In cases of violations, citizens may also call the Police Hotline 1-02 and 010 54 69 12.

On Election Day, the Vanador Branch of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly hotline numbers will also be operating at 080000001417 and 080000001211.

On December 9, the RA General Prosecutor’s Office will operate 24 hours. Citizens can call 010 511-603 to provide accurate information about alleged crimes related to the elections.  

Hetq has launched a Hotline during the election campaign and on election day, to cover possible election violations, for voters to exercise their electoral right and to provide legal assistance to journalists on their professional activities.

Citizens can file an alarm by calling 094 480054, regarding violations of their electoral rights, in the cases of obstruction of their professional activities, or for other legal advice. To reach Hetq lawyer Grisha Balasanyan, call 093 822680.
